I am really new to Sefton council, having joined on 18^th August 2025. Having spent 18 years working for a bank, I decided I needed a change and new challenge. I loved my role as a trainer for Barclays but decided to see if I could use my skills in other areas. I saw the Job role and applied, and luckily for me, I was given a chance to work as a Learning & Development Business Partner. I have always worked in private sector (7 years with RoyalSun Alliance & 18 years with Barclays), so it will take me some time to adjust to public sector work, but I have settled in well thanks to my amazing colleagues.

Outside of work I help run a local junior football club as committee member and coach for the last 15 years. I also enjoy some amateur dramatics.

When I am not working coaching football or rehearsing in tights, I spend time with my wife and 3 children, planning holiday or other family events.
