Jacqueline Pretty

I would like to introduce myself as the new Learning and Development Business Partner for Children’s Services.

I was seconded from my substantive post over to the Corporate Learning Centre on the 8.7.24 initially for one year.  I qualified as a social worker in 1990 and I worked for both Liverpool and Manchester City Councils before joining Sefton Council in 2005 where I have worked in different roles.

I have past experience in learning and development both in Liverpool and Sefton and over my career I have worked as a Social Worker, Assistant Team Manager and Team Manager and until my secondment I was an Independent Reviewing Officer (IRO) for over 13 years.

I look forward to working with you and contributing to the work of the Learning and Development Team to help to ensure that Children’s workforce is equipped and effective in safeguarding and supporting the children, young people and families in Sefton.
