Apprenticeships – Flexible Learning for employees

Sefton Council recognises that learners can be of all ages and are developing the workforce to meet the changing needs of the council. The council provides a Corporate Apprenticeship Programme which is supported by the Apprenticeship Manager and dedicated Support Officers, ensuring individual needs are met. The Team have just held a ‘Staff Training Marketplace’ to find out what learning and development opportunities are available to a Sefton Council employee.

Apprenticeship opportunities are also available to anyone who is interested in applying for an advertised apprenticeship within a Council department.    These apprenticeships are at various levels from level 2 to level 7 and can be an alternative to University study.

Recent opportunities include Business Administration, Schools Sports & PE, Teaching Assistants and ICT roles. If you are interested and would like to find out more information, please head to the GOV.UK website where you can register your interest and look for vacancies.
