CPD Guidance Launched

Sefton Corporate Learning Centre has launched a Continuous Professional Development (CPD) module that allows users to record activities undertaken with the intention of increasing professional knowledge, competence and confidence. This includes the ability to record a whole range of CPD activities which includes attending CPD accredited training, eLearning, shadowing, mentoring and self-directed learning such as researching literature on the internet, reading books and involvement in relevant forums etc.

The module is particularly useful for those professions that are required to keep CPD records/evidence for the purposes of professional registration for example Lawyers, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists etc.  Records are stored on Me Learning and staff can download a report detailing all CPD activity details, type, total number of CPD hours, supporting evidence (certificates, agendas, PowerPoint slides etc can be uploaded), post reflection following each CPD activity and self-evaluation for example, how the activity will change the way you work.

The CPD module is self-explanatory and there’s an online help facility that provides further information about the various sections. We have also produced CPD guidance which provides step by step instructions about how to add CPD activities to your record.

We hope you enjoy using the CPD module and if you have any questions, queries or would like to offer us some feedback please get in touch. You can email us at training.services@sefton.gov.uk
