Are you ready for September 2020?

From September 2020, the government is introducing compulsory Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) for all schools on the national curriculum. That’s why we are now launching an RSE workforce development service to all schools; we want to create schools with a confident workforce to deliver outstanding RSE education across Sefton. These will be offered as 1:1 sessions between your RSE subject lead and one of our subject specialists, and can be booked as a stand-alone meeting (held in person or virtually), or purchased as a block of sessions. These meetings are dynamic and chance for you to get some advice/ guidance on any of the following areas:

  • Implementing the draft statutory guidance on Relationships Education, Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) and Health Education into your school.
  • Developing and updating your school’s RSE Policy.
  • Barriers to delivering RSE  education in your school and how to overcome them.
  • Preparing to teach with confidence.

After each session, we will send you a follow up email signposting you to some free tailored resources which will support you in developing your school’s curriculum further.

Who the RSE service is ideal for:
PSHE curriculum leads/ teachers or pastoral leads
Head of key stages or Deputy Head Teachers

Cost: We are offering this one to one bespoke support at £50 per 1hr session.
