Business Development Manager

Lisa has a wide ranging and highly experienced background within the educational field both within the UK and overseas. Having qualified as a Secondary School Teacher in 2003, Lisa continued to work in the education sector for the following 14 years, branching out into Outdoor Environmental Education and Adventurous Pursuits, where a passion for accessing Learning and Development in the natural environment grew.

Now working with Sefton Council, Lisa has the opportunity to use all the transferable skills from her education background to enhance the Corporate Learning Centre here at Ainsdale. Lisa hopes to instil a desire to engage with lifelong learning and reach out to a wider audience of professional individuals and businesses.

Lisa plays a key role in ensuring the support services in the Corporate Learning Centre (CLC) function smoothly with particular responsibility for the day to day operations of all new and existing business activity, management information systems, administrative and financial functions. Lisa also assists the Workforce Learning and Development Manager in providing managerial and strategic direction for the service in relation to best practice and organisational aims and objectives. 

Lisa also manages 3 highly skilled, dedicated and committed Learning and Development Support Assistants who provide an effective administration function for the service which includes, but is not limited to, dealing with customer queries, managing finances and providing advice and support to the wider team.
