To develop professionals’ ability to implement the Early Help process for children and families across.


  • Increased understanding of the importance of Early Help and how its impact affects the wider context of safeguarding children and families services within Sefton.
  • Increased confidence in completing the Early Help process to produce good quality assessments, plans and reviews.
  • Increased understanding of the factors which contribute to the Early Help process such as information sharing, consent, using an evidence-based and coordinated approach.
  • Increased confidence in using the Early Help Module online recording system to support the early help process.

Who is this training intended for?

Practitioners working with children, young people and families who will be responsible for the Early Help process and taking on the lead practitioner role.
